Featuring strong optical design and flexibility, CrestOptics solutions can be adapted into tailor-made systems to meet even the most demanding imaging requirements—from upgrading a widefield microscope to creating a multimodal system for a wide range of applications. Combined with Evident’s range of microscopes and optics and 89 North’s laser diode illuminators, these spinning-disk confocal systems give researchers a powerful platform to expand their live-cell
imaging capabilities.
With an exceptionally high spinning-disk rotation of 15K rpm, CrestOptics X-Light and Cicero systems can reach speeds of over 500 frames per second (fps) at a full field of view (FOV).
Near-Infrared Imaging
With access to broad range of laser lines from 405 nm to 730 nm, all CrestOptics systems can access near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths to:
Provide deeper optical penetration
Reduce noise
Minimize risk to samples during in vivo imaging
High-Performance Laser Diode Illuminators
CrestOptics spinning-disk units are powered by laser diode illuminators (LDIs) from 89 North. The LDI is a multiline, solid-state laser illuminator offering up to 1,000 milliwatts of output power via a multimode fiber at the price of a low-power LED light engine. With feedback-controlled output stability and up to a 100:1 linear dynamic range, the LDI is the ideal light source for a wide range of applications.
LDIs are fully integrated laser combiner systems. They are easy to use and maintain, without any need for user laser alignment.
