The Hybrid Scanner combines the capabilities of the galvanometer scanner with a resonant scanner for high speed imaging in full field of view at 30 fps and up to 438 fps at 512 x 32. The Sequence Manager enables automatic switching between resonant and galvanometer imaging in the same experiment. The galvanometer scanner is capable of 16 fps at 512 x 512 using interlace scanning, making the FV3000 Hybrid Scanner the most flexible and advanced on the market. |
Fast High-precision ScanningThe scanner unit combines a high-speed resonant scanner with a conventional galvanometer scanner to provide high-speed, high-definition imaging in a single system. High-speed imaging delivers 30 fps at 512 x 512 at full field of view (FN 18), while clip scans optimize return time to achieve 438 fps at 512 x 32 pixels, making it possible to capture rapid calcium channel reactions and membrane potential-sensitive dyes in action. No oversampling and no undersampling, the flexible 0.01 zooming steps of the resonant scanner allow for optimal (Nyquist) criteria to get best optical setup for your image acquisition. |
Highly Reflective Silver-coated Scanning MirrorsAnti-oxidization silver coating ensures durability and improves reflection efficiency in both excitation and emission with the set of two galvanometer scanning mirrors. Reflectance in the visible range is increased by 5 - 15 %, and IR reflectance up to 22 %. |

Tornado ScanningConventional raster scanning cannot always complete photobleaching or activation quickly. The unique Tornado scanning makes the procedure much more efficient and significantly reduces the necessary bleaching or activation time. |
Optional Laser Power MonitoringLaser light intensity is monitored and fed back to the acousto-optic tunable filters (AOTFs), helping to stabilize the excitation light during long-term (overnight) time-lapse imaging. With this the user can be sure that the first frame of a very long time lapse experiment is taken with the same laser power like the last one allowing real quantitative analysis. |
Motorized ND FilterThe importance of low laser power applications and the need for very small power steps are realized via a motorized 10 % ND filter which can be switched in/off the optical path inside this unit via software control. |
