The precisExcite LED light source is designed for use with all Olympus epi-fluorescent microscopes. Up to four wavelengths can be driven individually or in combination and intensity can be adjusted per wavelength in 1% increments. LEDs have very long lifetimes, greatly reducing running costs, and can be switched almost instantaneously with no additional shutters required. Coupling via the light guide allows remote placement to reduce vibration and heat at the microscope frame,
while USB and ethernet interfaces enable seamless integration with the cellSens imaging software for the automation of complex imaging tasks.
precisExcite LED systems can be configured with up to four LED array modules (LAMs). A choice of 19 different wavelengths is available (365, 380, 400, 425, 440, 470, 490, 500, 525, 535, 550, 565, 585, 595, 615, 635, 660, 700, 740, 770 nm).
Long-lifetime LEDs
LEDs have extremely long lifetimes of tens of thousands of hours. This almost eliminates the need to exchange them and greatly reduces running costs and maintenance effort.
Fast On/Off Switching
LEDs can be switched almost instantaneously and offer the advantage that no additional shutters are required.
Less Vibration and Heat
Indirect coupling via the light guide allows remote placement of the unit, thus reducing vibration and heat at the microscope frame.
Standalone Control
The precisExcite light source enables LEDs to be switched on or off individually and used in combination. It also allows LED intensity to be adjusted individually per wavelength from 0 % to 100 % in 1 % increments.
Software Control
USB and ethernet interfaces allow the light source to be integrated seamlessly into the cellSens imaging software, which enables the easy automation of complex multi-dimensional imaging tasks.
