“One of our recent projects focuses on how membrane trafficking mediators regulate mitochondrial dynamics and mitophagy. The kinds of subcellular interactions we are interested in require sensitive, high-resolution confocal imaging. We have had excellent results with the FV4000. It allows us to reproducibly image events localized to mitochondrial membranes, as well as interrogate mitochondrial network structure. The FV4000’s high dynamic range is particularly beneficial for simultaneous imaging of multiple targets with variable intensities.
